Determine the number of chairs and tables. Traditional wedding reception, the wedding plans at a long table facing the guests. Some couples prefer a separate "sweetheart table". The wedding guests usually sit at round tables or in small groups of 4-20, with an average of about 8 to 12 per table. For example, for 100 guests, you have approximately 8 to 12 tables, depending on the layout of your reception site.
